SUBJECT: GNU Radio Conference 2022 - Professional Development Opportunity
I would like to attend the 2022 GNU Radio Conference (GRCon), from Sept 26-30, in Washington DC. GRCon is the annual conference for the GNU Radio project and community, and has established itself as the premier industry event for software radio. It is a week-long conference that includes high-quality technical content and valuable learning opportunities. Keynote speakers this year include the current DARPA director, Dr. Stefanie Tompkins, and the director of the National Radio Astronomy Observatory, Dr. Tony Beasley. GRCon is the perfect way for experts to keep their finger on the pulse & direction of the SDR and RF signal processing industry. It also allows developers to show off their latest work.
GRCon will not only benefit me as an employee, but will also provide me with tangible takeaways for our entire team. Once the full schedule of talks and workshops is released closer to the conference date, we can go over the list together to determine which ones will benefit the company most.
- Registration: $900
- Hotel: $229 per night, plus tax
- Travel: [Estimated from your location to DC]
- Meals: breakfast, lunch, and typically 1-2 dinners are provided to attendees as part of the cost of registration
Thank you for considering my request. If I’m able to attend, I think you and I will both find that this was an extremely worthwhile investment and one that we may consider repeating year after year.
